Notre Dame Clinic

Practice Information

Appointments

We recommend you book an appointment in advance to ensure our GP is available to see you.  Walk-ins will be accepted subject to availability.

When booking, please advise the reception if:

  • your health issue is urgent;
  • you need a special medical examination or procedure;
  • more than one family member needs to be seen; or
  • you or a family member requires an interpreter.

Cancellations

We understand that at times appointments may need to be changed or cancelled. Should this occur, we request you provide us with a minimum of 2 hours’ notice. This provides us with the opportunity to offer your appointment to another patient who may need to see a doctor.

Patients who cancel their appointment within 2 hours of their scheduled appointment time or fail to attend their appointments will be charged a non-attendance fee of $80.

After Hours Care

When Notre Dame Clinic is closed and we are unable to provide you with our quality care, you can contact a bulk billing after hours medical service where you can arrange for a home visit, and you will be bulk billed if you have a valid Medicare Card.

This service is available to all Notre Dame Clinic patients by calling:

Sydney Medical Service on (02) 8724 6300.

Home Visits

Practice Policy

As a rule, our practice conduct home visits on a case-by-case basis and strictly by prior arrangement between patients and our GP. These home visits can be during normal or after hours.

Provision of Visits

Home Visits conducted by our GP will be at the GP’s discretion and this will be in consideration of the patient’s condition and the GP’s responsibilities to patients at the Clinic.

Practice Procedure

Home visits can be organised by contacting us at Notre Dame Clinic and making arrangement directly with the GP.

Recalls and Reminders

We are committed to preventative care. Recalls and/or reminders are conducted by phone or mail for follow-up tests, immunisation, health care assessments, review of chronic health problems, such as diabetes and asthma.

If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or receptionists know.

Test Results

All of Notre Dame Clinic’s pathology services are delivered by Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology.

Our GP will give you instructions on how to obtain results for pathology or imaging tests (X-rays, Ultrasounds etc).

In general, results are given during consultation in order to allow for appropriate discussion of their implications. It is advisable to make an appointment to discuss further management or follow up.

Please do not call the clinic to enquire as to whether your test results are available. This personal information cannot and will not be provided over the telephone.
